ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Rotary Club From the Heart committee gathered on Wednesday morning to draw the names for the 2021 Cash Calendar winners. Each January members verify the coming-year’s winners by signing off on the winners after they are drawn for each month.
The proceeds from the Cash Calendars and annual From the Heart event benefit the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry, HOPE, Focus House, Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center, CASA, Rochelle Area Community Foundation and Hub City Senior Center. This year, From the Heart will be a virtual event held on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The event will be held live on the From the Heart Facebook page and will feature drawings for prizes. Tickets for the event will place participants in the drawings for five virtual event prizes:
1/2 hog and processing
1/4 beef and processing
An online auction with items that would normally have appeared on the From the Heart silent auction tables during the gala will also be held. The online items can be viewed at https://bearrows.hibid.com.
The From the Heart committee has set a fundraising goal of $50,000 this year.
