ROCHELLE – Rochelle Community Hospital will host a breast cancer awareness event, “Think Pink,” on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Health and Wellness Center parking lot at Eighth Avenue and Second Street.
The Pink Heals fire truck from the Sauk Valley Chapter will be on hand. Thousands of signatures appear on the truck along with words of support for those currently battling an illness. The focus of Pink Heals is not only on breast cancer but all illnesses and the struggles people endure and a community can support. You’ll be sure to see the truck and responders wearing pink gear. Stop by to learn more about the Pink Heals mission and sign the truck.
Mammography Technologists will be on hand to share information about breast cancer and answer any questions you may have about mammography. Every Wednesday, RCH offers walk-in screening mammograms from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
Radiology will be selling T-shirts in support of the RCH Foundation “All About Me” program that provides cancer resources including a cancer care bag and scholarship opportunity. For more information, go to www.rochellehospital.com/foundation.
Lunch will also be available from Ralfie’s BBQ from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until they sell out.
