ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Little League Junior Softball All-Stars battled in the Illinois Little League District 19 Championship Series this past week, finishing 1-2 over three games. Rochelle picked up a forfeit win over Rock Falls before falling in the second round against Sterling by a score of 20-0. Rochelle lost 11-3 against Rock Falls in elimination play.
The team includes Macy Belmonte, Paige Donoho, Miranda Dubek, Laney Hicks, Bailey Jackson, Grace Luxton, Layla Pelan, Maleah Pointer, Macy Ramos, Chloe Treadway, Kennedy Underwood, Marisa Whaley and Francesca Williams. The girls are coached by Jeremy Hicks, Jason Underwood and Ryan Pelan.
