ATLANTA. Ga. — The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) recently announced Rochelle Township High School student Clarissa Dodillet has been selected to become a member of the esteemed organization. The Society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment. The announcement was made by NSHSS Founder and Chairman, Claes Nobel, senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.
“On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Clarissa has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,” said Nobel. “Clarissa is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best hope for the future.”
Dodillet, who is set to begin her senior year at RTHS, said her academic focus is becoming a firefighter paramedic.
“Later on in the future I’m hoping to continue to advance in the medical field,” she said. “As soon as I graduate [from RTHS] I’m hoping to get on the Rochelle Fire Department while continuing my education at Kishwaukee College and paramedic schooling.”
