ROCHELLE – An open house celebrating the Prabhakars’ 50 years of love and fruitful life in Rochelle will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 1-4 p.m. at the Flagg Township Museum. Exhibits highlighting their accomplishments are on both the main floor and the second floor along with digital presentations developed in 2016. There will be games, an opportunity to dress-up and try your hand at wearing a saree or other Indian clothing, and very special refreshments.

For half a century the Prabhakar’s have been an important part of the community, raising their two sons here, providing rewarding surgical care for 30 years, sharing their Christian faith and Indian culture, and extending their reach on a global level through many medical mission trips. Their memories are many and the open house is an opportunity to hear more about their 50 years of love in Rochelle from the Prabhakars as well as an opportunity to share your memories.

The mission of the Flagg Township Historical Society and Museum is to stimulate interest in Flagg Township history through education, research, collection and preservation of information for the benefit of the public of today and in the future.
