On Aug. 30 at approximately 6 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Saturn Ion for an equipment violation at Illinois Route 2 and Illinois Route 72.  After conducting an investigation, Mandrell Woods, 32, of Davenport, Iowa, was arrested and cited for driving while license revoked.  Woods was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was processed and released on a notice to appear.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Aug. 30-Sept. 2, 2024

OREGON — On Aug. 30 at approximately 6 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Saturn Ion for an equipment violation at Illinois Route 2 and Illinois Route 72.  After conducting an investigation, Mandrell Woods, 32, of Davenport, Iowa, was arrested and cited for driving while license revoked.  Woods was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was processed and released on a notice to appear.

On Aug. 31 at approximately 10:12 p.m. deputies responded to the 200 block of South 2nd Avenue in Forreston in response to a domestic problem. After an investigation, Andrew L. Heidenreich, 20, of Forreston, was placed under arrest for two counts of domestic battery. Heidenreich was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was held awaiting an appearance before a judge.

On Aug. 31 at approximately 6:15 a.m. deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 1,600 block of North Freeport Road with a male passed out behind the wheel.  Prior to arrival, the vehicle left the scene and began traveling southbound on Freeport Road.  At approximately 6:29 a.m. deputies located the vehicle in the 2,000 block of South Freeport Road and conducted a traffic stop on a black Hyundai Passenger car.  After investigation, deputies learned the vehicle sustained minor front-end damage from going off the roadway.  The driver, Brenden Petersen, 21, of Dixon, was checked out at the scene by Polo Fire and EMS and completed a refusal form.  Petersen was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Peterson was additionally issued citations for DUI over .08, improper lane usage, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.  Petersen was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

On Sept. 1 at approximately 11:40 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Illinois Route 72 and Marrill Road.  After investigation, deputies placed Kalei Williams, 24, of Rockford under arrest for driving while license suspended.  Williams was additionally issued a citation for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. Williams was released on a notice to appear at the scene and given a future court date.

On Sept. 1 at approximately 12:46 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Steward Road in Rochelle. After investigation, deputies placed George Broches, 61, of Compton under arrest for two active Ogle County felony forgery warrants.  Broches was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held pending a court appearance in front of a judge.

On Sept. 1 at approximately 11:15 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of East Illinois Route 38 and Dement Road for an equipment violation. Upon further investigation deputies arrested Raymond Haney, 24 of Rochelle, for driving while license suspended. Haney was released on scene with a notice to appear and a future court date provided.

On Sept. 1 at approximately 2:19 a.m. deputies responded near US Highway 52 and Freeport Road in response to a vehicle stopping in the middle of the roadway. After an investigation, Jacob S. White, 28, of Freeport, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. White was also cited for driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration greater than .08 BAC and for illegal stopping, standing, or parking in the roadway. White was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was processed before being released with a notice to appear.

On Sept. 2 at 8:56 p.m. deputies responded to the area of Illinois Route 72 and Limestone Road for a driving complaint. Deputies located the vehicle in the 5,000 block of North Limestone Road. After an investigation, deputies arrested Justin Weycker, 39, of McFarland, Wisconsin for driving under the influence of alcohol and unlawful use of a weapon. Weycker was transported to the Ogle County Jail for processing. Weycker was released with a notice to appear.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
