On Oct. 8 at approximately 9 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Illinois Route 2 and West Pines Road. As a result, the driver of the vehicle, Lorenzo Bennett, 22, of Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended and for an Ogle County warrant for driving while license suspended. Bennett was also additionally issued citations for a lighting violation and operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration. Additionally, a passenger of the vehicle, Anthony Ezell, 44, of Rockford, was arrested for two Ogle County warrants for theft, and failure to appear for a prior theft charge. The two subjects were transported to the Ogle County Jail and detained on their warrants.

OREGON — On Oct. 8 at approximately 9 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Illinois Route 2 and West Pines Road. As a result, the driver of the vehicle, Lorenzo Bennett, 22, of Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended and for an Ogle County warrant for driving while license suspended. Additionally, a passenger of the vehicle, Anthony Ezell, 44, of Rockford, was arrested for two Ogle County warrants for theft, and failure to appear for a prior theft charge. On Oct. 9 at 10:38 a.m. deputies conducted a warrant service in the 300 block of Erickson Road, Rochelle. deputies arrested Baylee Foust, 26, of Rochelle, for an outstanding Winnebago County warrant for failure to appear. Foust was transported to the Ogle County Jail.

On Oct. 9 at approximately 8:24 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near East Illinois Route 64 and the Interstate 39 entrance ramp. After investigation, deputies placed Breanna M. Borota, 24 of DeKalb under arrest for driving while license suspended, operating a motor vehicle with registration suspended, and unlawful possession of cannabis/driver. Borota was issued her citations, released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

On Oct. 9 at approximately 12:42 p.m. deputies responded to a non-injury accident at the intersection of East Illinois Route 38 and South Woodlawn Road. It was determined that a white Hyundai Sante Fe was westbound on East Illinois Route 38, which failed to reduce its speed for stopped traffic in the construction zone, striking the back of a silver Hyundai Elantra, operated by Grace Agah, 34, of DeKalb. After investigation Evelyn J. Gonzalez, 22, of Rochelle, was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed. Deputies were assisted on scene by the Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District, and Rochelle EMS.

On Oct. 9 at approximately 11:46 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5,000 block of North Meridian Road. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Heidi M. Julia, 52, of Stillman Valley for driving under the influence of alcohol. Julia was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where she was additionally cited for driving under the influence/BAC over .08 and improper lane usage. Julia was processed and released on a notice to appear.

On Oct. 10 at approximately 9:24 p.m. deputies along with the Mt. Morris Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 3,400 block of West Mud Creek Road. Investigation revealed a 16-year-old lost control of the vehicle while traveling west bound and had gone into the north ditch.  The 16-year-old driver was cited for graduated driver’s license - more than one passenger under the age of 18.  Additionally, a 16-year-old passenger was charged with reckless conduct and released.  All occupants were unharmed.

On Oct. 11 at approximately 4:41 a.m. deputies checked a vehicle in the 3,000 block of South Illinois Route 251. After investigation, deputies placed Mark Nink, 53, of Rochelle under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Nink was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
