ROCHELLE – The Rochelle Municipal Utilities Water Department will be replacing fire hydrants on Cherry Avenue and the 500 block of North 2nd Street on Tuesday, March 29.
As a result, buildings located in the following areas will be without water service for approximately four hours and will be under a boil order once the water service is re-established: 100 & 200 block of East 4th Avenue, 100 block of East 5th Avenue, Cherry Avenue and 400 & 500 block of North 2nd Street.
A boil order means that for a minimum of 24 hours, all water to be consumed should be boiled before use. Each affected property will receive a door tag with more details. For questions, please call the RMU Water Department at 815-561-2099.
