ROCHELLE — Rochelle might be home to another truck stop, south of Interstate 88 and east of Ill. Rte. 251.
Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores has requested a variance for off street parking, a variance of the municipal sign ordinance, zoning and annexation into the city to develop 17 acres.
City of Rochelle staff said although the proposed project is not officially a done deal, it continues to move forward.
Love’s Travel Stops and County Stores is a North American family-owned chain of more than 430 truck stop and convenience stores in 41 states, headquartered in Oklahoma.
The matter will be brought forth at Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on Monday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.
