ROCHELLE — Arabella M. has been a Girl Scout for seven years with Troop 1168 in Rochelle. Her goal this year was to sell Girl Scout cookies to all 50 states. With the help of videos and photos shared to social media and all the texts and emails sent to family and friends, she achieved her goal.
Her journey started easily with family in Illinois, Iowa and California and close family friends in Missouri and Washington. The last states to get on board were Rhode Island and New Mexico. It took her almost three weeks with a lot of help from well-connected cousins who took on her goal as their personal missions to help as much as they could.
Arabella earned a special patch for her cadette vest and will be on the Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois podcast in April discussing her achievement and her upcoming trip in June to Our Chalet, Girl Scouts World Center in Switzerland.
