ROCHELLE — Rochelle Little League held the 2024 Opening Day Ceremony at Floyd J. Tilton Park on Saturday morning. The event included a presentation of the colors from the Rochelle VFW as well as a speech from Mayor John Bearrows and a recitation of the Little League Pledge from multiple baseball and softball players.

Also included were a prayer led by Ryan Greifenkamp as well as a performance of the national anthem from guitarist Kevin Behrens and ceremonial first pitches from Rochelle Fire Chief Dave Sawlsville (baseball) and Olivia Buck (softball). The event concluded with the annual T-shirt toss and a full slate of baseball and softball games.
