ROCHELLE — The Moose Valued Veteran program was introduced on Feb. 1, 2017. This program honors all Moose members that are veterans for their service to our nation whether in time of war or peacetime.
All Valued Veterans are regarded equally regardless of their military accolades. The purpose of this program is to honor a veteran for his service to his community.
On Nov. 18, Dave Schwitters was honored as the Rochelle Moose Valued Veteran of the Year. Governor Jason Zies presented Dave with his certificate and lapel pin. This annual dinner featured Chuck Roberts as the guest speaker. Paul Bearrows was honored at last year’s dinner.
