The Rochelle Hub bowling team faced Mendota on the road this past Tuesday, falling 3,167-2,971 and dropping to 1-5 on the season. Senior Devansh Patel rolled a 560 series, while sophomore Christian Thorne fired a 559 series and junior Evin Odle added a 554 series.

MENDOTA — The Rochelle Hub bowling team faced Mendota on the road this past Tuesday, falling 3,167-2,971 and dropping to 1-5 on the season. Senior Devansh Patel rolled a 560 series, while sophomore Christian Thorne fired a 559 series and junior Evin Odle added a 554 series.
Mendota defeated Rochelle 1,045-967 in the first game, with Alex Hermosillo shooting a 229 and Landon Bauer adding 210 for the Trojans. Odle’s 230 carried the Hubs in the first game, while Patel bowled 203 and Thorne chipped in 167. Behind 233 from Thorne and 189 from senior Sergio Guevara, Rochelle bounced back with a 1,034-964 win in the second game.
The Trojans finished strong in the third game, however, downing the Hubs 1,158-970 to seal the nonconference match. Zach Compell fired 221, while Hermosillo rolled 210 to end the evening with a match-best 614 series. Guevara scored 194 in the third game to finish with a 538 series.
