DEKALB — The Rochelle varsity boys bowling team faced DeKalb on the road Tuesday evening, with the Barbs taking all three games and the series by a final score of 3,167-2,770 to drop the Hubs to 2-3 overall.
DeKalb took the first game 1,061-941 behind Nicklaus Eberly’s 230 and Michael Rae’s 213. Senior Tyler Johnson rolled 225 to lead Rochelle in the opening game. The Barbs won the second game 1,049-858 with Eberly shooting 225 and Logan Zarek adding 226.
Rochelle fell 1,057-971 in the third game despite 202 from both Johnson and senior Dallas Driver. Eberly shot 223 to finish with a match-high 678 series, while Johnson led Rochelle with 593 and Driver recorded 553.
