MACHESNEY PARK — The Rochelle varsity boys bowling team placed 19th out of 24 schools with 5,112 pins in the Harlem Invitational on Saturday. Senior Tyler Johnson received the team’s Most Valuable Player medal with a six-game total of 1,242 pins for an average of 207 to place 21st individually.
Rochelle totaled 2,462 pins over the first three games, with Johnson shooting a 637 series for the Hubs and senior Brady Shank adding 589 with a high game of 220. Senior Dallas Driver rolled 212 and 235 over his final two games during the second three-game series to finish with a grand total of 1,053. Shank finished with 1,137 and senior Nick Stevens added 880.
