Vincent and McCullough lead Rochelle to 2,640-2,472 win on Thursday

STREATOR — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team returned to action on Thursday evening, when the purple and white faced Streator in nonconference action. Junior Cassidy Vincent rolled a team-high 576 series, while sophomore Kylie McCullough followed with a 539 series as the Lady Hubs defeated the Bulldogs 2,640-2,472. Rochelle (5-4, 3-3 Interstate 8) will host Morris on Monday.

The Lady Hubs held the series lead after the first game, which Rochelle claimed 882-816 behind a 183 from Vincent and a series-best 200 from McCullough. The Lady Hubs extended their lead with an 872-824 victory in the second game, where Vincent fired a series-best 222 and McCullough rolled a 170 to lead the Rochelle side.

The Lady Hubs clinched the nonconference sweep of the Bulldogs with an 886-833 win in the third and final game of the match. Vincent bowed out with a 171 and McCullough ended the evening with a 169 for the Lady Hubs, who saw seniors Faith Adams and Makenzie Liezert shoot respective scores of 154 and 149. Adams finished with a 424 series and Liezert totaled a 401 series in the win over the Bulldogs.
