ROCHELLE — The Rochelle golf team teed off another round of Interstate Eight Conference play with a home match against Sycamore on Tuesday. The Hubs then hosted Oregon and North Boone for their nonconference triangular meet at Fairways Golf Course on Wednesday.
Rochelle finished 1-1 with a team score of 212 in the three-team match. Oregon won with 205 while North Boone took third with 232. The Hubs lost by a score of 163-193 against Sycamore on Wednesday. Rochelle moves to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the I-8 Conference.
Junior Megan Thiravong led the Hubs with 44 in the triangular meet, while junior Reese Kirk and freshman Griffin Ohlinger each carded 54. Thiravong recorded 41 and sophomore Shepard Hayes finished with 47 against Sycamore, while sophomore Brett Ferguson added 49 to help Rochelle against the Spartans.
