ROCHELLE — The Lady Hubs varsity track and field team has accomplished a lot in a short period of time this season, setting Rochelle Township High School records and earning top placings at many events so far.

But it was the junior varsity team that stole the show in Tuesday’s triangular meet with Yorkville and Plano, taking first place and dominating the field in the process.

The junior varsity girls totaled 111.5 points on the evening, with Yorkville finishing second with 54.50 and Plano taking third. Four Lady Hubs earned victories in the field events, with sophomore Skylar Hubbard winning the pole vault with a clearance of 7-0 and freshman Katie Van Hise taking the long jump with a leap of 13-4.
