The Rochelle Area Track Club hosted the 41st Annual RATC Invitational at Rochelle Township High School on Saturday, with athletes ranging from 6 to 18 years old lacing up their shoes and competing against other track clubs around the area including DuPage Track, Sauganash Striders, United Select Athletics, Run Jump Fly and Lake Villa Boas.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Track Club hosted the 41st Annual RATC Invitational at Rochelle Township High School on Saturday, with athletes ranging from 6 to 18 years old lacing up their shoes and competing against other track clubs around the area including DuPage Track, Sauganash Striders, United Select Athletics, Run Jump Fly and Lake Villa Boas.

8 & Under Boys

Grange Kissack took first in the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 22.55 seconds while Gideon Scott placed second in 22.73 and Ezekiel Bergeson was third in 22.85. Kissack won the 200-meter dash with a time of 47.29 while Austin Sarver won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:43.27.

Finnigan Ruane took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 4:09.17 while Isaiah Bergeson won the 1500-meter run in 9:41.76. Sarver won the javelin throw with a distance of 10.30 meters and Scott placed second at 9.98. Sarver also took first in the long jump with a leap of 7-10 while Gavin Smith was second (6-11 ½) and Shawn Scott took third (6-3 ½).

8 & Under Girls

Tess Kissack finished first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 19.36 while Martha Landa placed second in 22.01. Kissack won the 200-meter dash with a time of 42.18 and Mairin Meyers was second in 44.25. Regan Turner (9.33 meters) and Landa (6.34) placed first and second in the javelin throw and Meyers won the long jump at 8-2 ½ while Turner was second at 8-2.

9-10 Boys

Caleb Dreska won the 100-meter dash with a time of 15.26 and Hunter Bivins took second with a time of 18.36. Christopher Hickey finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 38.07 and Zachary Dreska won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:35.05. Bivins took first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 7:24.07.

Zachary Dreska marked at 20-5 in the shot put for first place while Grant Daugherty (16-6) and Geronimo Zepeda (9-8) finished second and third. Dreska also won the javelin throw at 17.41 meters with Zepeda taking second at 12.34. Caleb Dreska took first in the long jump with a leap of 11-10 ½ while Owen Tooley was second at 11-10.

9-10 Girls

Leiya Smith won the 100-meter dash with a time of 17.35 and Savanna Wilson took second in 18.81 while Laila Vazquez finished third in 20.14. Smith also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 37.84 and Wilson finished first in the 400-meter run (1:25.85) while Emily Dooley was second (1:31.84) and Jasmine Walsh took third (1:38.52). Smith won the long jump with a leap of 10-1 while Wilson placed second (9-7) and Walsh was third (9-5).

11-12 Boys

Jack Tilton finished first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 17.20 and Gabriel Montes won the 200-meter dash with a time of 39.89. Montes also won the 400-meter dash in 1:29.51 with Abel Huerta placing second in 1:34.36. Parker Lenkaitis took first in the 800-meter run (3:13.71). Tilton and Montes tied to win the high jump with clearances of 3-9.

11-12 Girls

Margaret Carter finished first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 15.74 while Cadence Scott placed second in 17.50 and Brisa Zepeda was third in 17.75. Carter also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 33.88 with Ava Horner taking second (37.27) and Samone House finishing third (42.09).

Lauren Turner won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:57.91 and McKenna Cook placed second in 3:22.69. Cook won the 80-meter hurdles with a time of 21.91 and Turner finished first in the shot put with a heave of 23-6 and the javelin with a throw of 22.34 meters. Cook won the high jump with a leap of 3-6 and Carter’s leap of 12-4 earned her first place in the long jump.

13-14 Boys

Luke Orlikowski finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.45 while Trey Taft placed second in 1:07.97. David Wanner took fourth in the 800-meter run (2:42.99) and third in the 1500-meter run (5:38.92). David Dreska placed third in the shot put (29-1) and second in the discus throw (58-6).

Wanner won the javelin throw with a toss of 26.60 meters. Orlikowski and Taft tied for second place in the high jump with clearances of 4-3 and Taft won the long jump with a leap of 13-10 while Avery Auld was second at 9-6 ½. Wanner won the triple jump with a mark of 30-2 ½.

13-14 Girls

Kyra Bivins placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 16.69 and Serenity Shull was fifth in 19.72. Teagan Meyers placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 31.74 and Leilani Hess-Larsen placed sixth in 34.44. Anna Harvey won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:11.20 with Hess-Larsen taking second (1:14.21) and Magaly Marin placing third (1:16.36).

Ahtziri Zepeda placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:55.69 and Bivins took second in the 1500-meter run with a time of 7:04.76. Meyers was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (20.99) and Harvey was first in the 200-meter hurdles (38.40). Genesis Myers placed third in the shot put (26-10) and the discus (74-9).

Myers took fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 14.38 meters and Karissa Clawson placed second in the high jump with a clearance of 4-6. Harvey won the pole vault with a clearance of 7-6 and Harvey placed fifth in the long jump (13-10). Elise Dooley also took fifth at 13-10, and Meyers was third in the triple jump with a mark of 26-5.

15-16 Boys

Trevor Goodwin won the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.38 and Josue Huerta took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:36.14. Huerta finished second in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:26.80 and Aaron Vondergathen placed first in the pole vault with a clearance of 11 feet. Goodwin won the triple jump with a mark of 39-5 ½.

15-16 Girls

Shannon Harding placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 16.57 and Breanna Deutsch finished third in 17.14. Deutsch and Harding took third and fourth in the 200-meter dash with respective times of 35.64 and 35.78. Sara Johnson placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:57.76.

Johnson won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 23.80. Harding placed second in the long jump with a mark of 9-10.

17-18 Boys

Evan Horner finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59 seconds and Parker Hale placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:38.30. Ryan Friestad placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.32 and Horner was fifth in the javelin throw at 25.70 meters. Hale took second in the high jump at 5 feet and Friestad was third in triple jump at 35-2 ½.
