Winnebago
Waylon Hanke pinned Rochelle sophomore Ivan Pineda in 44 seconds at 106, with Owen Lightfoot and Dom Mastroianni taking forfeits at 113 and 120 for Winnebago. Carlos Sanchez pinned Hub sophomore Grant Thompson in 1:40 at 126, and Hayden Faworski pinned Rochelle sophomore James Kopec in 38 seconds at 132.
Junior Keegan Davis-Carter pinned Winnebago’s Micah Bloomquist in 1:46 at 138 to score six Hub points, but Mannix Faworski and Bryce Faworski recorded pins against Rochelle freshman Osiris Lenker and senior Jacob Fore in 1:19 and 1:41 at 145 and 152, respectively. Hub junior Zeke Horn pinned Gabe Ginder in just 18 seconds at 160, and Rochelle junior Bryan Garza pinned Alex Church in 58 seconds at 170.
Sophomore Ben Harvey, junior Gavin Ansteth and senior Pedro Lopez took forfeits at 182, 195 and 220 for the Hubs, with junior Zach Capes pinning Akari Fowler in 1:34 at 285.
Belvidere
Alejandro Banuelos pinned Ivan Pineda in 52 seconds for Belvidere, and with both teams forfeiting at 113, Belvidere’s Presley Beasley took a forfeit at 120. Grant Thompson pinned Caden Lendman in 46 seconds at 126 for the Hubs, and James Kopec took a forfeit at 132.
Belvidere’s Isaac Hernandez pinned Keegan Davis-Carter in 2:23 at 138, and Chris Jarka pinned Osiris Lenker in 3:56 at 145 for six more Belvidere points. Jacob Fore received a forfeit at 152, and Zeke Horn edged Tayvius Sanders by 5-1 decision at 160. Bryan Garza pinned Jonathan Urbieta 1:04 at 170.
Ben Harvey defeated Glenn Winchel by 9-2 decision at 182, and Gavin Ansteth took a forfeit at 195. Belvidere’s Trevor Dawson pinned Pedro Lopez in 1:17 at 220, and Josue Pizano-Onofre slipped past Zach Capes by 4-3 decision at 285.
