PERU — The Rochelle varsity boys bowling team faced LaSalle-Peru on the road Tuesday evening, with the Hubs taking one game over the Cavaliers but falling by a final score of 3,288-2,926 to drop to 3-6 on the season.
Rochelle opened the match with a 1,033-996 victory in the first game to take the lead. Senior Brady Shank rolled a team-high 243 game while senior Tyler Johnson added 236. Dylan Wyzgowski led the Cavaliers with 217 in the opening game.
LaSalle-Peru dominated the second game, winning 1,230-918 to take a commanding lead over the Hubs. Landen Miller shot a match-best 289 for the Cavaliers, with Matt Jacobson shooting 255. Johnson rolled 213 for the Hubs, and senior Nick Stevens added 210.
LaSalle-Peru took the third game 1,062-975 to seal the match victory. Miller recorded 219 for a team-high 689 series, and Wyzgowski recorded a 625 series. Johnson led the Hubs with a 620 series, with Stevens shooting 562 and Shank rolling 545.
