Readers from Mrs. Tobler’s and Mrs. Downey’s first grade classes at Lincoln School recently presented “partner plays.” Students worked on their reading fluency and expression as they developed the characters for these plays. The cast of characters included: a mother bird and her baby bird, a pair of ants, a flower, and a bee. The costumes were designed and created by the students. We loved watching how the readers were able to make the stories come “alive” while presenting these plays. (Photo submitted)
