Dixon man arrested on county warrant

On Nov. 5, Darrius Garcia, 41, of Dixon, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for driving under the influence of an intoxicating compound. Garcia was unable to post the $5,000/10 percent bond and was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 9.
On Nov. 6, Gerad Rogde, 32, of Oregon, was arrested for a driving while license suspended warrant. Rogde has a bond of $3,000/10 percent and was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 6.
On Nov. 7 at approximately 3 p.m., Ogle County deputies along with Oregon Fire/EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Pines Road and Angus Road. After conducting an investigation it was learned John Hawkins, 76, of Oregon, was on his motorcycle when a Subaru traveling in front of him slowed down to avoid an animal in the roadway. Hawkins didn’t see the vehicle slowing until after the crest of the hill rear ending the Subaru causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Hawkins was transported to Javon Bae Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
On Nov. 10 at approximately 6:54 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident just east of Interstate 39 at Illinois Route 64 with no injuries. After investigation, Gemma Alvarez-Cervantes, 20, of Rockford, was issued a citation for no driver’s license-never issued. Alvarez-Cervantes was released on an I-bond to appear in court.
