Rochelle – Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Rochelle, the Flagg-Rochelle Park District and The Flight Deck have cancelled their respective Fourth of July fireworks shows.
The groups are all open to the possibility of a fall show as gathering restrictions are lifted.
“The three organizations have put a significant amount of consideration into this decision and ultimately the health and safety of the staff and residents must be considered first,” City of Rochelle Marketing Director Jenny Thompson said Friday.
