ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football team suffered its first loss of the season on Monday, when the purple and white hosted Byron in nonconference play.
Freshman Cohen Haedt connected with sophomore Brody Bruns for a 30-yard touchdown pass, but the Tigers scored two touchdowns to hold off the Hubs 14-6. Sophomore Keegan Cathina recorded seven tackles and an interception on defense, while sophomore Cooper Holmgren had two tackles for loss.
