Over the course of the next several weeks, local funeral homes will be implementing guidelines as mandated by the CDC, Governor of Illinois, and the National Funeral Directors Association due to the COVID-19 virus.

Unger-Horner Funeral Home announced they will be implementing the following public policy:

All gatherings for funerals and memorials will be limited to immediate family ONLY, and less than 10 people. No PUBLIC visitations will be held.

"We value our community we live in, and will continue to be available 24 hours a day. Please understand this is only temporary, and we hope to publicly gather in support of one another as soon as it is considered safe to do so. We will be implementing a live streaming service to allow the rest of our community to participate in the services of the families we serve. With understanding and patience, we will get through this together," Chad, Derek, Mike, Don, Fred, and Annette said in a release Monday morning.
