STERLING – Troy V. Talaga, 29, of Winter Springs, Florida, was stopped for speeding on Jan. 26 at 10:24 p.m. on Illinois Route 64 and Woodlawn Road in Ogle County and was charged with driving while license suspended and speeding. Talaga was released on an I-bond.
Samantha Belmontes, 20, of Rockford, was stopped for improper window tint on Jan. 27 at 11:43 p.m., on Interstate 39 northbound at milepost 112 in Ogle County and was charged with no valid driver’s license. Belmontes was also wanted on an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. She posted a $300 bond and was released.
