STERLING — The Rochelle Junior Tackle sixth-graders defeated Stillman Valley 12-8 in Sterling on Saturday afternoon to finish fifth in the Big 14 Conference and conclude the 2024 season with a 5-3-1 overall record.
Dominic Escatel and Charlie Chadwick led the Junior Hub defense in tackles, while Matthew Johnson Jr. recovered two fumbles and Escatel returned an interception for a touchdown. Escatel, Landon Johnson and Gavin Smith were the leading rushers for the Rochelle offense.
The team includes Dominic Escatel, Owen McLaughlin, Noah Hayden, Grange Kissack, Devin Hansen, Brycen Williams, Brantley Koenig, Eli Thompson, Landon Johnson, Gavin Smith, Aiden Blomberg, Riley Heal, Jimmy Chadwick, Brayson Bouland, Charlie Chadwick, Bentley Etes, Quaid Heitz, Freddie McBride, Maxwell Boyd, Ronnie Belmonte, Matthew Johnson Jr., Blake Rollin, Jackson McGee, Royce Scott, Tanner Williams, Jack Olson, Ivan Olson, Xavier Garcia, Jackson Olszewski and Jameson Nance.
The team is coached by Bobby Chadwick, Bob Chadwick, Mike Chadwick, Tyler Carls and Kenny Dougherty.
