Leslie Allen Hipsher was born on August 28, 1947, in Vandalia, the son of William Elbert “Shorty” and Marie Evelyn (Largent) Hipsher.  Les graduated from Brownstown High School, Class of 1966.  He married Daisy June Ludens on April 22, 1972; together they celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage and raised three children before her passing on January 25, 2022.
