Man arrested for violating protection order

On April 5, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a violation of an order of protection. Pursuant to the investigation deputies arrested Jeremy Guentert, 38, of Byron, for violation of an order of protection. Guentert was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

April 6

On April 6 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Illinois Route 64 and Maple Grove Road. This was in response to a check welfare request by a passing motorist reporting a vehicle parked at that location with front end damage and a female in the driver’s seat. Upon arrival and after an investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Destiny R. Whipkey, 24, of Davis Junction, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Whipkey was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she posted bond on her charges and was released. Whipkey is due to appear in Ogle County court at a later date.

April 9

On April 9 at approximately 2:02 p.m., deputies responded to and address on East Valley View Drive, in reference to a citizen complaint. After a brief investigation, deputies placed Taunya Hollis-Jared, 48, of Rockford, under arrest for disorderly conduct, two outstanding Ogle County traffic warrants, and theft under $500 for a separate incident which occurred on Feb. 2 at the same residence.  Hollis-Jared was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

On April 9 at approximately 8:00 a.m., deputies responded to a theft at 1382 N. Illinois Route 2. After investigation, deputies placed Jesse Maberry, 76, of Oregon, under arrest for theft under $500. Maberry was released on an I-bond and will appear in court at a later date.
