On April 14 at 4:40 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Ridge Road at Pines Road. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Christopher R. Taylor, 32, Oregon, for driving while license expired (more than a year). Taylor was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail in Oregon where he was held in lieu of bond. Taylor was also cited for no front registration plate and given a written warning for improper turn signal. 

On April 14 at 10:53 p.m., the Ogle County Sheriff's Office along with the Creston and Rochelle Fire Departments responded to a one-vehicle roll over crash at Route 38 and East County Line Road. Investigation by deputies revealed that an east bound Mercury operated by Kaiya Smith, 30, Rockford skidded off the north side of Route 38 and then overturned after striking a culvert. Smith was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital by ambulance for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
