On Dec. 7 at 11:13 p.m. deputies responded to the 3,500 block of South Ridge Road along with Oregon EMS for a single-vehicle accident with injuries. During investigation, deputies determined a red Mini Cooper operated by Mia A. Hoese, 17, of Oregon was traveling north on South Ridge Road when she drove off the west side of the road, striking a property fence and utility pole. Hoese was transported to KSB Hospital for minor injuries by Oregon EMS. The investigation into the incident is pending.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Dec. 7-9

OREGON — On Dec. 7 at 11:13 p.m. deputies responded to the 3,500 block of South Ridge Road along with Oregon EMS for a single-vehicle accident with injuries. During investigation, deputies determined a red Mini Cooper operated by Mia A. Hoese, 17, of Oregon was traveling north on South Ridge Road when she drove off the west side of the road, striking a property fence and utility pole. Hoese was transported to KSB Hospital for minor injuries by Oregon EMS. The investigation into the incident is pending.

On Dec. 7 at 9:17 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 15,000 block of West Harper Road. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Donald Duarte, 58, of Forreston for driving on a revoked driver's license. Duarte was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.  

On Dec. 8 at approximately 12:39 a.m. deputies responded to the 5,000 block of South Mill Pond Road in reference to a disturbance. After investigation, deputies arrested Rhiannon Waters, 39, of Rochelle, for disorderly conduct. Waters was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

On Dec. 8 at approximately 7:15 a.m. deputies, along with Oregon Fire/EMS, responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 3,400 block of South Illinois Route 2.  After an investigation, it was determined that a black GMC Sierra being driven south bound by Robert Baker, 46, of Byron, traveled off the roadway and struck a stone hillside. The GMC then crossed the roadway and struck a hillside on the opposite side of the roadway before coming to rest in the northbound lane. Baker was transported to an area hospital by Oregon EMS for minor injuries. No citations were issued.

On Dec. 8 at approximately 8:20 a.m. deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 6,500 block of North Freeport Road. After an investigation, it was determined that a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox being driven by Derreck Vince, 21, of Freeport, crossed the center line, sideswiping a 2000 Chevrolet S10 pickup being driven by Vernon Dixon, 83, of Dixon. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and Vince was issued a citation for improper lane usage. No injuries were sustained by either driver.

On Dec. 9 deputies arrested Madison Hintz, 19, of Freeport for driving with no valid license. Hintz was arrested by Deputies on Interstate 39 near Illinois Route 64 after being stopped for speeding. Hintz was released on a I-bond and will appear in Ogle County Court at a later date.
