On Feb. 1 at approximately 10:33 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at mile marker 102. After investigation, deputies arrested Deshontee Dixon, 25, of Coal City, for driving while license suspended. Dixon was also issued citations for illegal window tint and an equipment violation. Dixon was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 1-3

OREGON — On Feb. 1 at approximately 10:33 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at mile marker 102. After investigation, deputies arrested Deshontee Dixon, 25, of Coal City, for driving while license suspended. Dixon was also issued citations for illegal window tint and an equipment violation. Dixon was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene.

On Feb. 2 at approximately 7:30 a.m. deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Illinois Route 64 and Rocky Hollow Road. After conducting an investigation, it was discovered that a Ford Explorer driven by Isabel Tapia-Flores, 33, of Mt. Morris, was traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 64 when she lost control and began sliding sideways. The Ford collided with the front end of a Jeep Liberty occupied by four juveniles. Tapia-Flores as well as two of the juveniles were transported to KSB hospital in Dixon where they were treated with non-life threatening injuries. Tapia-Flores was later issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

On Feb. 3 at 9:14 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at North Illinois Route 251 and Holcomb Road. After a brief investigation, Albert Stevenson of Rockford was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated DUI and driving while license revoked. Stevenson also received citations for illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use. Stevenson was transported to Ogle County Jail where he was held without bond.
