On Feb. 18 at approximately 6:58 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 20,000 block of East Illinois Route 64. After brief investigation, deputies arrested Jasmine Campbell, 30, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Campbell was also issued citations for expired registration and suspended registration. Campbell was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 18-21

OREGON — On Feb. 18 at approximately 6:58 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 20,000 block of East Illinois Route 64. After brief investigation, deputies arrested Jasmine Campbell, 30, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Campbell was also issued citations for expired registration and suspended registration. Campbell was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene.

On Feb. 18 at approximately 12:25 p.m. deputies responded to the 11,000 block of North Illinois Route 2 in reference to a single vehicle accident. A preliminary investigation revealed that a northbound vehicle being driven by Deivontae Partee, 21, of Rockford, traveled off the west edge of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a tree and caught on fire. Partee was transported to Swedish American Hospital by Byron EMS where he was later pronounced deceased. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Byron Fire/EMS and Byron Police. The accident remains under investigation.

On Feb. 18 at approximately 3:30 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Fox Run and Blackhawk Drive in Byron. After an investigation, deputies cited Christopher McCammond, 26, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended and obstructed front side windows. McCammond was given an I-bond for his citations with a return court date.

On Feb. 18 at approximately 2:46 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 8,400 Block of North Illinois Route 251. After further investigation, Celina Michelle Kirkham of Davis Junction was arrested for driving while license suspended. Kirkham was also cited for speeding. Kirkham was released on scene with a return court date. ​

On Feb. 20 at approximately 3:30 a.m. deputies responded to the 8,000 block of Clinton Street in Grand Detour for in the report of a domestic disturbance. Dixon Rural Fire department was also responding to the address for the report of a natural gas leak. After an investigation, Dillon Hawn, 24, of Grand Detour was arrested for domestic battery, possession of a firearm with no FOID card and reckless discharge of a firearm. Hawn was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

On Feb. 20 at approximately 8:13 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at mile marker 111. After brief investigation, deputies arrested Keith Sanders, 58, of Freeport, for driving while license revoked. Sanders was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond. 

On Feb. 20 at approximately 10:04 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of South Fifth Street in Oregon. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Halley Smith, 56, of Oregon, for driving while license revoked. Smith was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and an equipment violation. Smith was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

On Feb. 21 at approximately 6:46 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at East Illinois Route 38 and Mulford Road. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested David Alarcon-Hernandez, 38, of DeKalb, for no driver’s license. Alarcon-Hernandez was taken into custody without incident and released on a $2,500 or 10 percent individual bond and given a return court date. Alarcon-Hernandez was also issued citations for no splash guards, illegal window tint and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  ​
