On July 2 at approximately 6:09 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Twombly Road and Illinois 251. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested David S. Fant, 41, of DeKalb, for driving while license suspended. Fant was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. Fant was also cited for speeding 75 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

On July 4 at 11:53 p.m. deputies responded to the island at 7084 N. River Rd. in reference to a possible armed subject. After further investigation, deputies arrested Jeremy Gabel, 45, for reckless discharge of a firearm and disorderly conduct. Gabel was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On July 5 at approximately 9:15 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3,000 block of South Illinois Route 26. After investigation, deputies arrested Cainon Canas, 24, of Rock Falls, for driving while license suspended. Canas was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and an equipment violation. Canas was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.
