Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: June 25-28

On June 25 at 7:49 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Illinois Route 251 and Carrie Avenue. After an investigation, deputies arrested Regino Mercade, 21, of Genoa for driving while suspended and for an outstanding warrant out of DeKalb County. Mercade was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: June 25-28

OREGON — On June 25 at 7:49 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Illinois Route 251 and Carrie Avenue. After an investigation, deputies arrested Regino Mercade, 21, of Genoa for driving while suspended and for an outstanding warrant out of DeKalb County. Mercade was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

On June 25 at approximately 7:44 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Flagg Road and Skare Road. After further investigation Devin McDaniel, 42, of Rochelle, was placed under arrest for no valid driver’s license. McDaniel was released on an I-Bond and will appear in Ogle County court at a later date.

On June 25 at 8:27 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 1,000 block of North Meridian Road in Chana for a report of a disturbance. After further investigation, deputies placed Mason J. Wolter, 21, of Chana under arrest for domestic battery and criminal damage to property. Wolter was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was held pending a court appearance in front of a judge. 

On June 27 at 9:12 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 at mile marker 77 on a 2010 Ford for speeding 97 m.p.h. in a 70 m.p.h. zone. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Guillermo Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 39, of Chicago for driving while license suspended. Guillermo also received citations for speeding, no insurance, unlawful transportation of alcohol and no front registration. Guillermo was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. 

On June 28 at 10:21 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5,400 block of North Illinois Route 2. After investigation, deputies arrested Mark A. Alexander, 44, of Rockford, for no valid driver’s license and an active Ogle County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. Alexander was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. Alexander was also cited for window tint and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
