On March 8 at approximately 5:35 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 13,000 block of East Illinois Route 72 on a red Dodge pickup for use of electronic communication device while driving. Upon further investigation, deputies arrested Ronald Monette, 49, of Davis Junction, for driving under the influence of alcohol. Monette was transported the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: March 8-9

OREGON — On March 8 at approximately 5:35 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 13,000 block of East Illinois Route 72 on a red Dodge pickup for use of electronic communication device while driving. Upon further investigation, deputies arrested Ronald Monette, 49, of Davis Junction, for driving under the influence of alcohol. Monette was transported the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

On March 8 at approximately 9:23 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at mile marker 106 on a blue Kia for no registration light. Upon further investigation, deputies arrested Gabriel Ortega Avila, 32, of Texas, for no valid driver's license. Gabriel was released on an individual bond with a future court date given.

On March 8 at approximately 9:37 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 at mile maker 76 ¾. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Jeremiah D. Harvey, 21, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Harvey was taken into custody without incident and released on scene on a $2,500 or 10 percent individual bond with a return court date set. Harvey was also issued a citation for illegal window tint.  ​

On March 9 at 8:31 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Illinois Route 38 at 7th Street in Rochelle for a traffic violation. After an investigation, Troy Scott, 27, of Rochelle was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Scott was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. Scott was also cited for speeding 1-10 m.p.h. over the limit, improper turn signal and operating and uninsured motor vehicle.
