On Oct. 26 at approximately 11:50 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of North River Road. After investigation, deputies placed Lucas Tuttle, 35, of Byron under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Tuttle was additionally issued a citation for an inoperable registration light. Tuttle was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Oct. 26-28

OREGON — On Oct. 26 at approximately 11:50 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of North River Road. After investigation, deputies placed Lucas Tuttle, 35, of Byron under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Tuttle was additionally issued a citation for an inoperable registration light. Tuttle was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

On Oct. 26 at approximately 6:22 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at mile marker 111. After, an investigation, deputies arrested Aniyah Jordan, 18, of Robbins, Illinois for driving while license suspended. Jordan also received citations for no insurance and speeding. Jordan was given an I-bond for her citations and will appear in court at a later date. 

On Oct. 26 at approximately 4:40 p.m. deputies responded to the 300 block of Main Street in Forreston in reference to a domestic complaint. After brief investigation, deputies arrested Matthew J. Peace, 56, of Freeport for domestic battery. Peace was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

On Oct. 27 at approximately 2:09 a.m. deputies responded to the 12,000 block of North Baileyville Road in reference to a property damage only accident involving minor damage. After investigation, deputies placed Michael Sides, 56, of Rockford under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Sides was additionally issued citations for improper use of registration, unsafe backing on the roadway, illegal transportation of alcohol and unlawful possession of cannabis(driver). Sides was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

On Oct. 27 at approximately 9:23 a.m. deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 17,000 block of East Illinois Route 38 involving a Chevrolet sedan and Freightliner tank truck. The driver of the Chevrolet, Christine Hughes, 45, of Rochelle struck the Freightliner as it was turning. Hughes was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital for minor injuries. Hughes was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

On Oct. 28 deputies investigated a vehicle stalled in the roadway in the 8,000 block of East Illinois Route 64. The driver of the vehicle, Jacob Quade, 29, of Rochelle was arrested for no valid license. Quade was given an I-Bond on scene and released with a pending court date.
