On Sept. 8 at approximately 11:49 a.m. deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 8,100 block of South Illinois Route 2. After an investigation it was learned that Christopher Coley, 33, of Oregon, was northbound on Illinois Route 2 when he crossed the center line and struck a guard rail, he then crossed the center line a second time and struck a utility pole. The vehicle then overturned and struck a parked car. The vehicle was removed by Big Jim's towing. Coley was transported the KSB Hospital by Dixon Rural EMS for non-life threatening injuries.

On Sept. 9 at 11:09 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at 1st Street and Washington Street in Oregon on a 2016 Jeep Patriot. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Laurrel Hayes, 53, of Rochelle for driving while license suspended. Hayes was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Sept. 9 deputies and investigators assisted the Polo Police Department with a death investigation involving a 23-month-old child. The investigation is ongoing but foul play is not suspected at this time. Additional information will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
