ROCHELLE — Rochelle Police detectives executed an arrest warrant Wednesday on a man charged with eight counts of child pornography, a press release said.

The arrest of Douglas D. Mitchell, 47, of Rochelle, comes after a 14-month investigation in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation into Mitchell’s online activities and involves over 1,000 still and/or video images.  

Mitchell was charged with four counts of possession with intent to disseminate child pornography, each count being a class X felony and four counts of possession of child pornography, each count being a class two felony.

Mitchell was transported to the Ogle County Jail without incident and his bond was set at $500,000 (10 percent to apply).
