The Hubs took the first game against the Pirates, but Ottawa won the next two games to claim the series by a score of 3,400-2,854 and drop Rochelle to 4-10 on the season.

OTTAWA — The Rochelle varsity boys bowling team rolled against Ottawa in its final Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference head-to-head meet of the season on Tuesday at Dettore’s Town Lanes. The Hubs took the first game against the Pirates, but Ottawa won the next two games to claim the series by a score of 3,400-2,854 and drop Rochelle to 4-10 on the season.
Senior Dallas Driver rolled 245 in the opening game to help the Hubs take down Ottawa 1,013-998. Senior Brady Shank added 200 for Rochelle, while senior Tyler Johnson shot 194. Zander Parise led the Pirates with 233 in the first game.
Ottawa overwhelmed Rochelle 1,152-923 in the middle game to take a commanding series lead. Jordan Goff shot 230 for the Pirates, with Anthony Walter adding 221. Shank totaled 225 to propel the Hubs in the second game.
The Pirates topped Rochelle by a whopping 1,250-918 to close out the match in the third game. Ty Trovero rolled 244, with Walter shooting 219 and both Vinnie Parise and Zander Parise recording 213. Driver rolled 206 for a team-best 613 series, while Shank ended with a 609 series after throwing 184 in the final game. Johnson totaled a 576 series.
