The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team took one game from the Oregon Hawks on Monday, falling just short in a 2,485-2,416 series loss. Freshman Cassidy Vincent fired a team-high 544 series and 212 high varsity game for Rochelle (5-8, 3-4 Interstate 8).

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team took one game from the Oregon Hawks on Monday, falling just short in a 2,485-2,416 series loss. Freshman Cassidy Vincent fired a team-high 544 series and 212 high varsity game for Rochelle (5-8, 3-4 Interstate 8).

Oregon surged ahead in the first game, winning 834-739 behind Ava Wight’s 181 and Mackenzie Alford’s 167. Senior Anna Samo led the Lady Hubs with 169 in the first game and Vincent followed with 165.

Rochelle cruised over the Hawks 902-796 in the second game to take the series lead. Vincent’s 212 and Samo’s 166 were highlights for the Lady Hubs, while sophomore Faith Adams rolled 163 as well. Alford and Wight scored 157 and 154 for Oregon.

The Hawks stole the series in the end, winning the third game 855-775. Wight recorded 174 for a 509 series and Alford added 150 for a 474 series. Vincent totaled 167 and Adams chipped in 147 for the Lady Hubs in the final game. Samo scored 136 to finish with a 471 series.
