The Hubs track and field team placed 10th out of 21 schools in the 42nd Annual Art Carlson Hawk Classic at Oregon High School this past Friday, scoring 23 points. Polo-Forreston took first place with 137 points.

OREGON — The Hubs track and field team placed 10th out of 21 schools in the 42nd Annual Art Carlson Hawk Classic at Oregon High School this past Friday, scoring 23 points. Polo-Forreston took first place with 137 points.

Rochelle finished seventh in the 3200-meter relay with a time of 9:30.74, and the Hubs took sixth place in the 400-meter relay with a time of 46.48 seconds. Sophomore Santi Cordoba placed ninth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:40.38.

Junior Ryan Friestad led the Hubs in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing 15th with a time of 20.45. Junior Connor Lenkaitis placed ninth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.96, and the Hubs took third place in the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:40.91. Senior Austin Tracey landed in eighth place with a time of 55.58 in the 400-meter dash.

Freshman Dominic Williams finished 14th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.47 seconds, and the Hubs finished fifth in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:41.68. Senior Zach Miller tied for 12th place in the shot put with a mark of 41-5, and junior Noah Knight placed 11th in the long jump at 18-5 ¼.

Junior Mason DeLille and freshman Trevor Goodwin finished fifth and sixth in the triple jump with respective leaps of 39-5 and 38-11 ¼. DeLille placed 10th in the high jump at 5-6. Rochelle will host the Ogle County Invitational on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
