ROCHELLE — Looking to snap a two-game losing streak, the Hubs sophomore baseball team hosted the Sterling Golden Warriors for the first of a three-game set on Monday at Rochelle Township High School.

Behind two RBIs by Brandon Johnson and a 2-for-4 performance at the plate by freshman Kaleb Hess, the Hubs downed Sterling by a score of 9-5 to improve to 12-7-1 overall. Five Rochelle hitters drove in at least one run including Johnson, Hess, Mason DeLille, Louie Mancinas and Brady Shank.

Trailing 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Hubs exploded for eight runs to take a commanding lead.
