STREATOR — The Rochelle Hub varsity bowling team faced Streator in a nonconference road match Thursday evening, falling 3,069-2,654 and dropping to 2-10 on the season. Senior Luke Orlikowski led the Hubs with a 517 series, while senior Sergio Guevara followed with a 502 series.
Streator took the first game 922-888 behind 203 from Keith Scott and 180 from Brady Grabowski. Orlikowski and Guevara led Rochelle in the first game, with Orlikowski firing 188 and Guevara rolling 182.
The Bulldogs pulled ahead with a 1,042-874 victory in the second game. Grabowski scored 227 and Anthony Dominic followed with 191 for Streator, while Guevara shot 176 and senior Devansh Patel recorded 163 for the Hubs.
Streator sealed the sweep with a 1,105-914 win in the third game. Grabowski shined for the Bulldogs, shooting 279 to finish with a match-best 686 series. Patel and Orlikowski led Rochelle with respective scores of 176 and 171. Freshman Logan Frye chipped in 167 during the third game.
Freeport
The Rochelle Hub varsity bowling competed at the Freeport Sport Shot tournament on Saturday, finishing 16th out of 19 teams with 4,035 pins. Senior Devansh Patel earned the ninth-place medal with a high individual game of 219.
