The Rochelle Hub and Lady Hub varsity cross country teams competed at the Freeport Pretzel Invitational on Saturday. Junior Yuelma Ortiz and senior Sara Johnson earned medals for the Lady Hubs, with Ortiz taking 13th with a time of 20:45.2 while Johnson placed 16th in 21:00.8.

FREEPORT — The Rochelle Hub and Lady Hub varsity cross country teams competed at the Freeport Pretzel Invitational on Saturday. Junior Yuelma Ortiz and senior Sara Johnson earned medals for the Lady Hubs, with Ortiz taking 13th with a time of 20:45.2 while Johnson placed 16th in 21:00.8.
Junior David Wanner led the Hubs to a 12th place finish out of 15 teams. Wanner took 45th out of 113 runners with a time of 18:26.3 and senior Josue Huerta finished 67th with a time of 19:13.5. Seniors Luke Orlikowski (19:55.7) and Peter Forsberg (19:58.2) each clocked in under 20 minutes.
