The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team battled DeKalb in a nonconference home match on Wednesday, falling 2,444-2,317. Freshman Cassidy Vincent rolled a team-high 505 series for the Lady Hubs (4-7, 3-4 Interstate 8) and sophomore Faith Adams followed with a 430 series against the Barbs.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team battled DeKalb in a nonconference home match on Wednesday, falling 2,444-2,317. Freshman Cassidy Vincent rolled a team-high 505 series for the Lady Hubs (4-7, 3-4 Interstate 8) and sophomore Faith Adams followed with a 430 series against the Barbs.

DeKalb claimed the first game 826-768 behind Kayden Royalty’s 208. Vincent fired 190 to lead Rochelle in the opening game, while Adams scored 148 and senior Zoe Rourke chipped in 121 for the Lady Hubs. The Barbs took the second game 860-756, with Royalty shooting 188 and Mackenzie Condon adding 162.

The Lady Hubs avoided the sweep on Wednesday, winning the third game 793-758 but losing the series by 126 pins. Vincent recorded 170 and senior Carly Summers rolled 160 to lead Rochelle in the series finale. Royalty led the Barbs with 188 to finish with a match-best 564 series, while Condon totaled 159 for DeKalb.
