NORMAL — Rochelle Township High School senior Megan Thiravong placed third out of nearly 30 players at the 36-hole Prep Tour event in the Bloomington-Normal area this past weekend.
Thiravong opened the tournament on Saturday, shooting 80 at The Den in Bloomington before stepping up with 78 in the final round at Ironwood Golf Course on Sunday. Thiravong overcame tough weather conditions at the tournament, which featured several top high school players from Illinois. Thiravong is pictured above with her third-place trophy.
