The Rochelle Wrestling Club opened the 2024-25 season in a big way over the weekend, sending 28 athletes to the 3rd Annual Ezra Hill Memorial Tournament. The RWC crowned six individual winners and five runner-up finishers at the event on Sunday.

The Rochelle Hub wrestling team crowned three champions during the Rockford East Nunez-West JV Invitational on Friday afternoon. Rochelle, who finished fifth out of 28 schools with 91.5 points, added one third-place finisher and one fourth-place finisher.

Rochelle seniors Taelynn Rodeghero and Ali Ohlinger participated in a signing ceremony with the VC United volleyball club on Thursday evening. Rodeghero signed with Grand Valley State University, while Ohlinger signed with the  University of Toledo.

Rochelle Township High School senior bowler Cassidy Vincent will be continuing her academics and athletics with three-time defending NJCAA champion Rock Valley College. Vincent finalized her commitment during a signing ceremony hosted at T-Byrd Lanes on Thursday afternoon.

The Rochelle Hub varsity wrestling team is back in the mat room for the 2024-25 season. After reaching the IHSA Dual State Championship last season, Rochelle returns with another loaded roster featuring three IHSA state qualifiers and several IHSA sectional qualifiers.

The Rochelle Hub varsity basketball team returned to the court on Monday, when the purple and white held their first practice of the 2024-25 season. The Hubs are returning multiple starters and are looking to build on a strong regional showing last winter.

The Rochelle Hub soccer team held its season-ending awards banquet on Tuesday evening. Several student-athletes took home RTHS and Interstate 8 Conference accolades.
